Any gamer would know is that if there's one game you know will be launched this year for sure, it's going to be another Call of Duty game. In fact, this statement can be said every year because there is a Call of Duty game released in the time frame of September-November every single year. Even though they keep throwing out games every single year, they get huge sales and do well each year, but I feel this is their biggest flaw. I mean I'll admit, I'm not the most pro-COD player in the world and I certainly haven't played all of them either. But I've played just enough to get the sense of it, well to be honest, you could play just one and experience the entire franchise in 30 minutes. The point is they release their games too quickly and there isn't enough change. 1 year isn't the biggest time frame to improve a lot of things about a game. Of course, people could argue that Infinity Ward and Treyarch are two different companies and might side with one. Okay, so that's a 2 year gap between each game. Big whoop. I'm not trying to say that developers should make an painfully long gap between games, because we all want a new game to come out as quickly as possible. But for the developers of Call of Duty, they should definitely put more time into it and actually change some of the game dynamics and improve.
I mean really, MW2 feels exactly the same as Black Ops which feels exactly the same as MW3 and so on and so forth. I'm not being a crybaby here or anything, and I'm not being biased and trying to bash Call of Duty as much as I can. I just think that for once, they should stop the whole Annual-Release tradition and spend some more time developing their games. I mean really, we've seen this kind of gameplay for years now. Every single MMOFPS will give you the same experience...FOR FREE. What would make you want to really buy another COD game if you already have one? The truth is there is nothing to make you want to buy another one. There is no difference and no excitement. Sure there are going to be fanboys buying the games every single year, but it's not going to go much further than that. Of course this was just my opinion.
